Rob Mills

Rob Mills

Rob Mills works for the World Bank, where he is responsible for a portfolio of energy investments in southern Africa. He is an economist with more than 15 years’ operational and strategy experience in the energy and financial services sectors, gained in the public, private and not-for-profit sectors. His World Bank experience encompasses extensive on-grid and off-grid energy access financing in Mozambique, and grid rehabilitation, demand-side management and energy efficiency measures in Malawi, as well leading the World Bank’s engagement on energy sector policy and regulatory issues. Prior to joining the World Bank, he worked at the Prime Minister’s Strategy Unit, at a development finance thinktank in Brussels and at a leading strategy consulting firm.

4CMR works closely with the Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance, with overlapping interests, skills and projects. C-EENRG is also located in the Department of Land Economy, with a core mission to "conduct integrative research on the governance of environmental transitions, understood as social and technological processes driven by environmental constraints that lead to fundamental changes in social organisation."
