Dr Gustavo Cáceres

Associated Professor and Researcher in Thermal and Solar Energy at University Adolfo Ibáñez (Chile), expert panelist in Energy of Fondef-CONICYT (National Commission of Science and Technology), invited observer at the IA Energy Conservation through Energy Storage (ECES) of the IEA and CEO of INERSUS (consultant on renewable and sustainable energy). His main areas of development are TES (thermal storage systems and materials), Solar Power Plants (design and economic evaluation), Energy Policies and Integration of Renewables Energies in Chile. He has worked as a researcher in the European project DISTOR (TES for CSP), in the French ANR project PREBAT (energy efficiency in buildings), as R&D Manager at solar platform Solucar (Spain), as researcher at the mechanical department of LiU (Sweden) and Engineering Director of EOSOL NE (Chile).

4CMR works closely with the Cambridge Centre for Environment, Energy and Natural Resource Governance, with overlapping interests, skills and projects. C-EENRG is also located in the Department of Land Economy, with a core mission to "conduct integrative research on the governance of environmental transitions, understood as social and technological processes driven by environmental constraints that lead to fundamental changes in social organisation."
